Day 1:

The Mountain Welcome & The Golden Hour

• The Journey: Your adventure begins with a 5-6 hour scenic drive from Kampala. If you prefer, Sam’s team can arrange a private 4×4 transfer to ensure you arrive relaxed and ready.
• Lunch with a View: Arrive at Sipi in time for a fresh, local lunch overlooking the valley.
• The Sipi Coffee Experience: Walk through local gardens and learn the “Bloom to Brew” story. You won’t just watch; you’ll roast, grind, and brew your own cup of world-famous Arabica coffee using traditional Sabiny methods.
• The Sunset Walk: As the day ends, we walk to the plateau edge. Watch the sun dip below the Karamoja plains, painting the three waterfalls in gold. It is the perfect, quiet introduction to the region.
• Your Night in Sipi: Rest at one of our handpicked lodges (Lacam Lodge, Mise Cave Lodge, or Sipi Falls Lodge) where the sound of the falls will lulls you to sleep.

Day 2:

The Path of the Three Falls

• Early Start (7:00 AM): Enjoy breakfast as the mist rises from the gorge.
• The Triple Waterfall Hike: This is the hallmark of your trip. We lead you through lush vegetation and local farms to see all three cascades:
  • The First Fall (85m): A graceful introduction.
  • The Second Fall (65m): Hidden and serene.
  • The Main Fall (100m): The giant. Feel the power of the spray at its base.
• The Adrenaline Option: For the brave, you can choose to Abseil down the 100m main fall—an unforgettable rush alongside the thundering water.
• The Upper Loop: If you’re feeling fit, we can extend the hike to the edge of Mount Elgon National Park for a glimpse into the ancient montane forest.
• Departure: After a final local meal, we begin the journey back, leaving you refreshed by the mountain air.

Day 1:
Arrival & The “Bloom to Brew” Welcome

• The Scenic Transfer: Enjoy a comfortable 4×4 transfer from Kampala or Jinja. As you climb the slopes of Mt. Elgon, the air cools and the lush, idyllic landscape of Sipi unfolds.
• The Sipi Coffee Tour: A gentle afternoon introduction to our community. Wander through smallholder farms, meet the families behind the beans, and learn how to harvest and process Arabica coffee.
• The Ritual: Roast, grind, and brew your own cup of organic coffee over an open fire. There is no better way to settle into the mountain rhythm.

Day 2:
The Grand Adventure (Waterfalls, Caves & Abseiling)

• The Triple Falls Hike (8:30 AM): We begin at your lodge, winding through community trails and rugged clifftops.
  • The 1st & 2nd Falls: Explore the winding cliffs and the hidden middle falls where the Sipi River rushes over ancient rocks.
  • The 100m Giant: Reach the main waterfall, the longest in the region, dropping 100m into the gorge below.
• Ancient Cave Exploration: Go underground for an hour to discover Sipi’s historical caves. Learn how our ancestors utilized these sacred sites and the fascinating history behind them.
• The Adrenaline Rush (Abseiling): After a relaxed lunch, face the ultimate challenge. Descend alongside the thundering 100m waterfall. It’s a moment of pure freedom—scream, laugh, and lose yourself in the mist.

• The Sunset Walk (King’s Point): We take a relaxing community walk to King’s Point, the most spectacular viewpoint in the region. From here, you can see the ridges of Mt. Elgon behind you and the endless Karamoja plains stretching out below where you will be exploring tomorrow.
• Evening: Settle into your lodge and enjoy a peaceful night under the mountain stars.

Day 2:
The Safari Drive & The Triple Hike

• Morning Safari (Pian Upe): We depart early for the 1.5-hour drive into the Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve. As the sun rises over the savannah, we go in search of Uganda’s rare treasures: Cheetahs, Roan Antelopes, Giraffes, and Kudus. The rocky ridges and volcanic plateaus of the reserve provide a stunning backdrop for photography.
• Afternoon: The Waterfall Challenge: After a late lunch back in Sipi, we trade the 4×4 for hiking boots. We will explore all three waterfalls, experiencing the power of the 100m drop and the lush vegetation of the Elgon slopes.

Day 3:
The Coffee Tradition & Departure

• The Coffee Tour: Before you leave, immerse yourself in Sipi’s “Brown Gold.” Walk through the local farms, learn how the Sebei and Bagisu tribes have grown coffee for generations, and roast your own fresh cup to enjoy before your journey back to Kampala or Jinja.
